Hello all
Just wanted to let everyone know that I have 'hung up the boots' dslr wise. I have learnt a hell of alot over the last few years, and appreciate a lot of the feedback and help I have received from many members.
I am moving along and spending a lot more time with my family, which is a decision I am extremely happy about, and I have no regrets. I will also be spending a lot more time with my other passion which is Kayak fishing. My first big step will be doing a trip from Bribie Island to Noosa in the next couple of weeks. I'll probably pop in from time to time with the odd happy snap from a P&S.
There is a lot of great photographers around here, and I wish you all the best in your endeavours. You're a great bunch of people, and I thank you for being around to offer help and criticism when needed.
Wish you guys all the best, and happy shooting!
Take care and I hope all your dreams for your passion come true.
I am now a 'retired' artist, but you never know what the future may bring.
Cheers

Didn't you just sell all your Nikon gear and buy a 30D etc?
Sad news, but I guess if you're happy about it - good for you.
All the best.
Cheers,
macka a.k.a. Kris

cheers Macka. and yes, I did. I have been dwelling on moving on over the last few months and deep down thought a change of scenery 'system' wise would re-spark the fire.. but alas.. things have changed.
cheers

All the best Mark and don't ever be tempted to look back with regret at the decision. Your future is more important than the past.

Mark,
It's been a pleasure getting know you, and to see you and your skillset grow.
But you know what's most important, and I fully understand where you're coming from. Do what you need to do, but please, don't be afraid to occasionally drop in and let us know how you're keeping.
And most importantly, keep safe.

Cheers mate, and take care. Most fish are bigger than kayaks!!!
I know what you mean about family, and you've made the right choice. You can always pick up where you left with a DSLR, but you can't with family.
Happy trails!

Hi Mark
Thank you for your forum friendship and magnificent photos.
The forum will be poorer without your participation but I have to admire your courage in making a life changing decision and then following through with it. Your family will be enriched for sure.
Hopefully we'll see you again one day after your family fly from the nest as they will surely do when they are ready and you return your attention to your old photography hobby!
Cheers
Graham
