Corrupt SD Card

Postby Laurie on Fri Jun 15, 2007 10:40 am

Please help!
My mum was using a 1GB SanDisk SD Card while we were in the States recently. and one day it decided it would stop working. i have tried everything short of programs to try and get it working. Windows and OSX just cant read the card. Cameras struggle with it too! i have tried it in my phone and it wont read it when in the past it has.
there are about half of our holiday pics on there and my parents are eager to get them off as am I!

any help would be greatly appreciated
Cheers

Download PCInspector - I have found it very good.

I accidently deleted some files off an 8gb cf card, and was really worried. I searched the net and found freeundelete.exe, which I used to get them back. It ignores fat tables which islikely to be the cause of the corrution. I do not believe freeundelete changes data on the card so I would try that. As the name suggests, it is free! Google it to find it on the web.
After I got the photos off I would reformat the card on a pc, then in camera. Often swapping between multiple devices will corrupt a card.
