Installing the upgrade, it seems to forget your last library and you need to import your recent library that you're using if you know where it is.

It imports and updates your old library, which takes.... quite a long time on my side for 15000+ photos from there (~1.2GB database).

Update:
After a 15mins upgrade on the database, LR 1.1 finally loaded up. Had a quick play with it and so far it is better and easier to work with than 1.0
Seems like they've put in unsharp mask function into their sharpening algorithm. :D

improvement to the sharpening engine is a documented feature of the new release, along with newly supported cameras etc.

Well worth doing!

I love it!
some things i have found very handy:
- The sharpening & noise reduction!
- When the top panel is hidden, there is a mini progress meter for current tasks.
- In grid view there is a Paint icon in the toolbar. would be very handy for someone wanting to paint certain images with a label, rating, colour etc just by clicking it. simple select the paint (spray paint can), set your 'paint colour' and click on the images you want painted.
there are obviously a lot of other smaller details but these are the ones that spring to mind.
