My belief is that a good wide angle is the best for landscapes but you can also get great pics by using any lens depending on what you want the landscape to represent. The pic I posted here is a portrait of a tree which in itself is a form of landscape.

I like this one. When I need to sit back and smell the grass



And this one when I need the smell of salt and creosote.



Depends do I want a beer and fising pole with no bait or just sit and vegitate

I actually like the #2 photo better from "I went snowboarding" in the Image and Reviews section, but since I already posted it, and I like this one as well here it is. It's not great but it is pretty awesome I guess (sort of).
