Laptop customisation/repairsWondering if anybody knows any computer stores that sells customised laptops in Australia (Brisbane preferrably)? As in not manufactured by companies but is put together? Or is it too complicated... Also wondering if there are any good and recommendable places for repairing them as well and also preferrably in Brisbane.

Asus now do white box lappies though I'm not entirely sure where you can get them.

Why bother? A full-on gaming PC with a carry handle would be better However two Dual-Core CPU's would be nice in a laptop. Steve.

could that be an alienware one. nice laptops, but the name is kind of poetic because buying one will probably involve some kind of 'probing' theres value adding, then there's adding a logo and shafting the customer. Simon
www.colberne.com.au I purchased a Teddy Bear this morning for the sum of $10. I named him Mohammed. This afternoon I sold him on E-Bay for $30. My question is, "Have I made a prophet?"
Plus lugging around a portable desktop isn't my idea of fun.

And no it's not alienware, it's ITC.
Although I am amused at how they would 'expand' a laptop to that size. Blog: http://grevgrev.blogspot.com

Just be aware that if a laptop is too powerful with its computing power, the battery won't last you for long.
I recall playing with an Alienware full gaming laptop while ago, it only lasted 1.5hr of standby (not even playing games) life at full clock speed.
Fuji make laptops?
Stick to Asus, Toshiba... and in that order. Producer & Editor @ GadgetGuy.com.au

Well my Asus was about that, not even at full speed... maybe I got the wrong one. On that note, I've had bad experiences with Asus, so not sure if I want them this time around... And I actually was thinking about Fuji. Blog: http://grevgrev.blogspot.com
