Camera Phone Exhibition

Postby macka on Fri Jul 20, 2007 7:31 pm

After Patrick's recent quip that he was waiting for a camera model featuring a camera phone ( ), here is some interesting reading from the SMH photography blog:

The quality of images captured by phones is improving rapidly, along with multi-function devices like the PDA. Herald journalists are now issued with PDAs capable of taking and sending text and photographs, when a few short years ago a brick phone in the company car was considered exciting new technology.

And as the quality improves, so does the potential for stretching the boundaries. In an ad campaign he devised for phone makers Sony Ericsson, US photographer Robert Clark took 50 days to create a photo essay documenting the diversity of American life. The photographs were published in a book, Image America, and formed an exhibition in New York City.

Not for the gear-obsessed!
Some pretty cool shots in there.

(Yay 10 posts.  )
