Shoot your Fish Tank and Post it

Postby Trieu on Fri Aug 03, 2007 11:20 am

Hi All, just thought I'd post a new topic here... it is a shooting idea right? (I hope).

Do you have a fish tank? POST IT! I think there are others that want to see how nice your fish tank is... also with fish moving it may be a challenge, what do you think?

I've had 4 foot tank for yonks! my oldest fish are clown loaches, about 7 years old now.. I will try to find a pic.

I ordered a new 5 foot custom built one arriving tomorrow so I can't meet up for the AW Ferry Hop, but when complete will post some pics.

Would love to see your tank :)
Cheers,
Trieu

Gotta do it Geoff, it is so rewarding... I love having a tank... BTW the new tank will be at the in-laws.

DVIV, woah... now that maze of pipes is a set up and a half!

Love the Marine tank, the colours are amazing.

For the time being, I'll stick to fresh water :)

For some reason, I rarely get good shots of my tanks - the whole tanks - but I have no trouble getting great shots of the inhabitants.

Here are some tank shots, but as I said, they aren't great and some are quite old.

I don't think the fish would appreciate you shooting their tank - it might make a few leaks ;)

I used to have cichlids, but had a few issues back in April and they started dying off - haven't refilled the tank since moving, but will do so eventually.

Dviv and ATJ - what amazing tanks. Real labours of love. I've always wanted a set up like that but would probably have to pay someone to do it for me... all I know about keeping fish relates to crumbs, salt and lemon wedges!

I've had an aquarium for the past ~2yrs, and so far no fish. No intention of getting any, it's strictly a plant-only aquarium.

My liking of daytrips/weekends away from home and being overseas for months at a time generally deter me from keeping fish that require daily feedings.

Once I clean off a month's worth of green algae, I'll take a shot of my setup. :)

Okay here is my tank.... *grins*

Image

and this is my favourite fish... his name is 'Freddy the fish'... alternately I call him Fred, Fredster and Fredly.... He doesnt really like being called Fredly and will turn his back to me when I do this ..*nods*....I know how to push fish buttons...Fred is a double tailed goldfish....However when around the bowl we call him Shark....it improves his self esteem...

Not quite up to the standard of Andrew or David, but here is my main tank. Tropicals (marine is waaaaay too hard ) - four Gourami's, two schools of tetras and two bristle nosed catfish to keep the tank clean (and a few live plants to complete the ecosystem)

Image

And yes it needs a top up!
