Birddy, you were back to work at 4.30, it's almost 10am now... where are your edited, colour corrected, resized and sharpened highlights from the Temple celebrations?
My goodness, what's the delay?? It's the year of the Rooster, not the Sloth!! Seriously, I know we'd all love to see some. Best regards and happy new year to you all, Tim
I'm backed with my main biz works and daily tasks. The part of editing and other are not fully in my area, I'll pass everything in RAW/ NEF for them do the works and I only be their advisor/ consultant. I can't handle all and I shoot the event as my voluntarily works, Matt.K has seen my photos taken in the past years at the small exhibition at the temple and he was with me in their Media Center where they have all PCs and Media equipments from raw video format converting to the final DVD and go into publications, we have recording studio and such as broadcasting. No wonder you get up so early... apart from your voluntary works the time you spend with this forum and its users obviously takes up much energy and time. I for one am very grateful for it. Forgive me if I sounded flippant with the previous post, I was just blown away by your working schedule.

"What Kung Fu That Wok" from the little known Good Onya China province. Anyway, a very happy New Year to all and sundry, in the now Year of The Rooster. According to my Collins Australian Dictionary of the English Language.... rooster n. [Chiefly U.S.] a cock which suggests to me that it is the Year of the Cock. Life's funny, isn't it? The year of the politician? Oh, sorry Greg, you said "cock", not "prick". I'm pleased that Onyx gave us the Mandarin version, but what's the Apple version? Must be another slow day at the orifice ... g.

In our Viet's traditional and most of the Asian countries, Lunar NY is the first three important days (1,2,3) not working, play, eat drink, visiting relatives, gambling, but January (Lunar) is mot of the relaxing month.
They like gambling, cos gambling is the way to test their luck of the year. They're right: the more monies they have the more hapinness and healthy they get" people only wishes each other "KUNG HEY PHAT CHOY" Everything in red colour is a good meaning to them, foods also are among many special dishes from many regions and prefered with Red colour also. Each type of fruit is also give them with each meaning. Great and important event of the year! but not here or in the US, we have to work. Birddog114

Now is also the best time to be un-married as you get these little red packets with money in them. If you are married, then it the other way around as you'll be giving out little red packets with money in them to children.
This adds up when you have dozens of little relatives!
