They are just bleating about the non-disclosure agreements journos are forced to agree to prior to product press releases when the info is clearly all over the internet beforehand.

I think I should contact all of the major companies and ask for preview samples especially since 40D info and pics that don't look so fake popped up this week.

To sum up:
>The magazine is sick of the news appearing on the net before the information being officially communicated to them. What they are told at press conferences is not news any more as it appeared on official sites before. They agree to confidentiality if the news is given to them under condition, they do not if they find the news. This time they looked for the news and gathered informations from where they could, sorted them out and decided to publish. They do say these are rumors (sorted out the best they could) and that the picture of the D300 is a "montage" (Artist's impression). In September it will be amusing to compare their pictures to the official ones.< Cheers, Gerard
Yep, late August is when there will be announcements - 2 new bodies, and some lenses. Of the lenses, I hear that there will be some surprises - some lenses that have not been updated/produced for a long time are getting updated.
I just did a google for "Nikon D300" - there were over 158,000 hits. That is a lot of one handed typing!
With all this crap going on about new camera rumours, etc, it seems like so many people can't take a good shot until the next camera comes out! I would say skill is a far easier and cheaper upgrade than a new model camera. (I should add that, on the Google search, you can get bargains on a D300 via ebay!) Regards, Patrick
Two or three lights, any lens on a light-tight box are sufficient for the realisation of the most convincing image. Man Ray 1935. Our mug is smug
