My new site :)

Postby iposiniditos on Mon Aug 06, 2007 9:32 pm

Hello all,

my new site is up. It isn't ready 100%
(some bugs, some things to add),
but i would like your comments.
I have just made the design
and another guy the programming.

...and if you find problems, bugs
that would be better :D

thanks a lot,

Theodoros - the site is simplistic which is great but I have to say that the three movies you have up are STUPENDOUS - the filming is first class and the music to die for.

I hope I am still around in the future when you become a household name :D

I would have to echo what Chris has said. Love your work, very creative. The moods you have captured really grabbed me. :D

The only thing for me that was a little disconcerting, was that there is no indication of the progress of the films loading. A small thing though.

I like the design. It's very simple and at the same time looks nice and stylish and it has exellent photographs!!!!!! :) :)

But:
1) I would make preview pictures a little bit larger.
2) I would add some page "About Me" or "About Photographer". People may want to know more about you if they like pictures.
3) "home" page is empty. I would fill it with some content (for example "about me"), or I would not have such page at all :)
4) And I would definitely remove the first page, which saying "www.tchliapas.com".

all I said above is only my opinion which may not match with other opinions :) I just said what I liked and what I didn't :)

to be honest --- too many clicks to get to where i want to go.
your audience should be able to get to where they want in a single click, 2 max...

front page doesnt do it for me -- go straight to the home page i wreckon.

navigations are images -- google wont be able to index and crawl the site very well.. i'd use links instead...

too much of the same "grey", try using a slightly lighter grey on the inner frame - may just add that touch of contrast..

:D

overall i think the design and the concept behind it is good. just need some more info about the photographer.. =D btw : your photography work are stunning. like whats prev been mentioned, preview pictures would be better larger..

I've prev worked as a web developer, n hopefully my inputs are not too blunt... if you need any info in website development - dont hesitate to pm me, I'll help out where I can... =D

Many many thanks for your comments and for being so generous to help.
My programmer has had an accident with his motorbike (fortunately he didn't break any part of his body) and he can't work with the site right now. Something about september and then... but i have forwarded all of your suggestions.

Special thanks!
