Uncalibrated Laptop or Desktop?Hey.
I have a MBP (old one) and a Dell 24" LCD. Atm i dont have any calibration software so i have to run them both uncalibrated. Which one would be better to view my photos on? would it make a difference? Thank you
Oh man i didnt realise there are such stark differences between the monitors!, for some reason things look more vibrant on my macbook monitor then on the Dell lcd...
Is it possible for someone to send me their colour profile for their screens? would that be more accurate then just the base settings? ty!
You really do have to profile your own screen as all screens are different. I am using a MB and an external Diamond Digital 20.1". They have both been calibrated with a Spyder II and although the MB looks better, the external is my preferred screen for photo work.
You could start a search from here: http://monitor-calibration-tips-swicki.eurekster.com/Dell+e773c/ Good luck Chris

If you have your macbook next to your Dell monitor, get them both to display the same image and then in your head try to work out the differences to arrive at a 'scene average'. Then manually apply eyeball® correction™ from each of the monitors and you will have calibrated your mind to see the ideal image*.
