Jeff, I'm not sure what you mean by "stored in". For me, Nikon View is just a browser (and a really nice one) that allows you to view any supported image files in any directory on your computer. I can see the same files with Picassa or any other browser.
Thanks for the link.
Worth noting is there is a separate Nikon Transfer program which I suggest you also download (it's linked part way down the same page) Peter

http://forums.popphoto.com/camera/board ... e.id=63127 Sorry, had to link to another forum as the Nikon URLs are stupidly long (and BB code didn't like my [url] tags). This is the Mac version of Nikon Transfer. There's a link to the Windows version of Transfer and ViewNX at the bottom of first link. It does not require registration. Ben D3 | D300
Did you follow the link or just look at the URL? nikonasia-en.custhelp.com is Nikon Imaging Asia Pacific Gateway. Australia is in Asia Pacific (otherwise we wouldn't have hosted APEC) .
I thought it was s legit question. I got mine off NikonUSA instead of from NikonAsia, as I can't remember what I registered under, and CBF doing so again. USA's site doesn't require registration details to d/l.
