Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent. Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature. Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread. Sunrise on the pierI hope you like these...they would benefit from some graduated nd filters though
http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b69/j ... sticks.jpg I've edited out the last link...it wasn't really up to scratch D200 + stuff
Well-handled exposures here.
I like #3 best - followed by #1. TFF (Trevor)
My History Blog: Your Brisbane: Past & Present My Photo Blog: The Foto Fanatic Nikon stuff!
I like these, however, number 4 is a little too busy for me (this may be in comparison to the symmetry and simplicity of the others). Number 3 is great although those little ripples in bottom right corner disturb the whole thing for me. Number 2 is a little too warm, but number 1 is awesome.
Note that these are very minor criticisms of otherwise fantastic shots, and reflect my opinion only. Regards, Patrick
Two or three lights, any lens on a light-tight box are sufficient for the realisation of the most convincing image. Man Ray 1935. Our mug is smug
All great but I love the first one the most, followed by the 3rd, then 4th. Nicely done.
#2 is too warm for my own tastes.
I like #1 for it's spot on exposure and muted tones. #2 by contrast is too saturated for my tastes, but otherwise is a fine image.

Great shots, #1 is the pick, but all are great. Craig
Lifes journey is not to arrive at our grave in a well preserved body but, rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting, "Wow what a ride." D70s, D300, 70-300ED, 18-70 Kit Lens, Nikkor 105 Micro. Manfrotto 190Prob Ball head. SB800 x 2.
Thanks for the positive comments You guys have highlighted some legitimate PP points, that I'll have to take into account in future, so thanks
It's a nice spot, with a fair bit of potential, and somewhere I'll probably visit again Colin - I was always on the bridge, just had to move around a bit D200 + stuff
