URGENT: Studio flash gear needed in QLD (Hire or Purchase)

Postby robster on Sat Oct 06, 2007 11:37 am

Hi all,

I have an urgent request to either hire or purchase your studio flash gear.

I need at least one head with a softbox (would prefer two but beggars can't be choosers ;)) and I live in the Sunshine Coast but can travel to Brisbane etc tonight or tomorrow morn to purchase off you.

It's to run with a Canon EOS30D setup.

If you are a person that wouldn't mind hiring your gear or selling an old unit or two please contact me ASAP on 0400 913 931 or respond to this thread or PM me :)

I'd really appreciate any help, I'm stuck in a rock and a hard place here...

Kayell must be shut as they aren't answering their phone and dragon image have no contact page on their website (or one that works) :(

Anyone got any other ideas, or perhaps want to rent their kit (or sell an old one?)

I would help you but I'm clearly too far away! Best of luck though.

try to be resourceful too

ive done editorial fashion shoots with nothign but a sb800 and understandign of location and light shaping

if you need a snoot make one out of cardboard
if you need a scrim use a bedsheet
if you need stands use people

you can make a softbox from a bedsheet and box
or a ringflash from a saucepan
or a beauty dish out of plastic bowl containers

anyway best of luck

kayell is a bit slow i should of warned you there aint much places in brisbane to get pro studio gear from

Rob, this is probably too late and it sounds like this shoot isn't very important as it wasn't worth looking Dragon Image up in the White Pages but if you did you would have found:

#
Dragon Image
# U1/ 47 Brookes St Bowen Hills 4006
# (07) 3854 1815

There is a small amount of parking, 2-3 cars, out the front.
