Canon lense test comparisons

Its nice to see actual images instead of comparing MTF graphs (eg http://www.photozone.de/8Reviews/index.html )

I'm starting to wonder at the usefullness of lens tests- for example the photozone site show very impressive numbers for the sigma 30mm 1.4 (except it looks woeful at the borders) while the user survey doesnt rate the lens well. The link you posted the sigma performs very well. go figure. The only thing keeping me away from sigma (and 3rd parties) is quality control. I figure if I buy an EF lens it will be very similar to those tested, while not sure about the others. Am I a lens snob?

My only experience with non EF lenses was a tokina which i returned.

Robert,
must admit I am also a lense snob with my 3 all being Canon. For me it's partly a case of not being rich enough to buy cheap, and not having enough experience to know good from not so good.

I liked this site because of the photos making it a bit different from other review's I had found - it all help me justify the money I spend.
