So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent. Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature. Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread. Please also ensure that you have a meaningful location included in your profile. Please refer to the FAQ for details of what "meaningful" is.

make sure you thread lightly around the nesting area, mom and dad don't like to be disturbed. Probably a good idea not to share the location with too many people so that there isn't too many on-lookers. ...... the nest is about 8-10 metre's from the shore edge, and in an area that the public do not go to. There are a lot of black swans about on different waterways and are becoming an easy target for shots. I missed the last hatching, but will be about for this one.......

Just as well for you... swans will defend their nests and young vigorously.. my friend in England made the mistake of getting in too close for a shot.. the swan broke three of his fingers and dislocated his shoulder with her wing... I never would have believed it possible... Good shot though Bix Pix.. I am looking forward to seeing the results.. The last thing I want to do is hurt you... but it's still on the list...
