Extended warranties

Extended warranties

Postby georgie on Sun Feb 13, 2005 2:58 pm

I am wondering what people's thoughts are on purchasing extended warranties? I have done a search in the forum but could not find anything. I am not interested in a 5 year option or anything like that (hopefully will replace D70 by then) but was wondering if a 12-24 month extension is worth it? Any suggestions where I can buy one?

Cheers

I contacted (CPU)them about d70/kit extra warranty. 2 yrs after intial 1 Manafacturers year. I was quoted $99.

SHould pull my finger out and do something about it. I think its a good idea cause it will be expensive to repair.

Matt and Georgie

Be sure to read the extended warranty wording and find out what is covered and try to think about what isn't covered. IMO it is usually what isn't covered that is the more important.

It is best to do this before you buy an extended warranty, not afterwards. Too late then.

Yes, thanks - I guess i need to look into it properly - I guess I assumed it would be just like the normal warranty from Nikon, but I will need to read the fine print...
