Beach Baby...Yup its Amanda again... pretty girl and she photographs well... Sunnylass and I met her yesterday afternoon for a few beach shots...
Oh.. and keep it toned gents ... she is only 16yrs... The last thing I want to do is hurt you... but it's still on the list...
Very dynamic composition...(yes, I did notice the composition first). Your model is reacting directly with the viewer in a confronting, in your face kind of way and that works very well. Your post-processing is excellent. It's obvious your model is very comfortable with your direction and trusts you....I think as a team you guys have some stunning imagery yet to come. Keep at it and keep refining your technique. Love it!
Regards
Matt. K
A great collection....
I think no 3 is the best, quite dynamic, but I'd love to see the stray hair cloned out. From the rest of her hair you can see the wind etc, I think it just detracts a little. No 2 has underwear marks on the l/h hip. No 4 is a little over processed. I think there is a clear chemistry between the model and the camera, she works very well with you..... All I know, is that I don't know enough.....
Great shots. I actually prefer her more natural skin tones in the first to the overly smooth ones in the last.
I do like your B&W treatment - what conversoin process do you use? Regards, Patrick
Two or three lights, any lens on a light-tight box are sufficient for the realisation of the most convincing image. Man Ray 1935. Our mug is smug
I really like the first 3...She does seem to work well with you both....The PP on the last i am really not sure on...
Overall..Very well done.. Cheers Joe Canon 40D/350d 18-55kit lens...90-300efs lens...17-35 2.8L..70-200 2.8 IS in my bag and now a 580ex2 +50mm1.8
Great work Sue! I agree with the comments on the last, but I think it is only just overdone.
I'd love to learn how to take good photos of people, perhaps we need a portraiture workshop at some stage?
I like 2 and 4. Not only because of great B&W but because of more glamorous look and very dynamic composition. Great job, Sue!!!
Hello my beautiful Sue
I really like the last shot - I agree it is a very very very little bit overprocessed, but I'm guessing that was the look you were going for - it is a wonderful bW conversion !!!! Bloody lovely And I agree with bwhinnen, I know that I need lots and lots and LOTS of help !!!!! LOL that is what we usually have when we go out shooting together, unless its later in the afternoon. I've heard lots of lovely things about you by the way, and hope to meet you soon.

Now I'm going to have to buy her all the greasy food she wants from the first hot box I see .... mmmm.... might get a nice bit of kabana from the chip shop opposite the train station tonight LOL Dodging and burning are steps to take care of mistakes God made in establishing tonal relationships! -Ansel Adams

Oh gosh.. you know I play so much that its kinda hard to describe exactly what I did on these shots.. I do know that on the last one though I used both PS and PSP to get that overproccessed effect...(I do have one that is not quite as overproccessed though)... I tend to use virtual photographer and various other coloured filters (reduced opacity) and I often select just certain areas of the shots and apply different things to just those areas to get the effects I like.. So sorry I could just give you a simple answer..
I'd be in that if enough people are interested... it certainly wouldnt be too hard to get a couple of models and some togs together for an outdoors workshop... I can't help with studio type stuff though as I'm lost when it comes to that stuff...
Hey gorgeous.. and yup thats the look I was going for... plastic skin is the new black... *grins*
You can.. it just takes practice.. *nods* The last thing I want to do is hurt you... but it's still on the list...
mmmm.... I wonder if there is a plastic skin that does the whole super-gut-sucker thing ?????? I think for me it would have to be industrial grade though ..... mmmmmmmm........... now I want another piece of kabana Dodging and burning are steps to take care of mistakes God made in establishing tonal relationships! -Ansel Adams

There is... its called a corset... *nods*... and did I hear Kabana... you do know that you have an obligation to the other women of this forum to share Kabana and nude shots of the male members here... oh alright... you have an obligation to me.. never mind the rest of them! The last thing I want to do is hurt you... but it's still on the list...
the fact that you put these two together sooooo quickly is quite scary - is that the real reason you have a fettish for kabana, only, it's not really kabana ?????? LOL Dodging and burning are steps to take care of mistakes God made in establishing tonal relationships! -Ansel Adams

Ooooops... I tries... but I just can't restrain myself... makes for some fun though.. The last thing I want to do is hurt you... but it's still on the list...
Oi, I like looking at nude men! But um I'll pass on the kabana
I'd be all for it, always willing to learn new techniques, and whilst I'm good at cars and bikes and their respective drivers / riders, photographing people / models scare the bejesus out of me Go figure!
Okays.. if a few of us want to do it it wouldnt be too hard to organise something... why dont you post something in the brisbane forum and see if anyone is interested?... The last thing I want to do is hurt you... but it's still on the list...
Beautiful work Sue. Amanda looks amazing and, as Matt said, you two have got some stunning images in your future.
