help - B&W conv to sepia

I have an assignment, to match baby pics of a clients third child, to the other pics taken at 8 months old of each child.

I have printed them, and they are very happy overall, but the "color".

I used the black and white conversion process from MattK, the use of lab mode, remove channels etc.

now that they are ready to frame, sitting side by side to the other prints, they are colorless, but the previous shots had a slight browning, along the lines of sepiatone.

so, this brings me to my question. looking for tips, on how to add a slight browning to already pure B&W images. I have access to photoshop CS2.

Try Opanda PhotoFilter. Very cool free software for toning and adding colour effects.

Or you can create a toning layer in Photoshop. In the Layers palette, click the "Create new fill or new adjustment layer" icon and choose Solid Color. Select a desired colour and click OK, then reduce the new layer's opacity to an appropriate level. (don't remember if you need to change layer blending mode to "Color")

this worked well. simple. yes, I changed the belnding options mode to color (after I changed the color mode back to color).

it comes with PSCS2 or CS3........ at the top of the action palette there are little arrows which will take you to a another menu...... image effects are there....... load them into the palette or list, scroll down and there they are
