Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent.

Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.

Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread.

Please also ensure that you have a meaningful location included in your profile. Please refer to the FAQ for details of what "meaningful" is.

Hi All, well while out at a bbq for lunch today at the lakes here my mates daughter who i photograph a lot as she has the most beautiful big eyes and can ganrentee not to to look at the camera. She is a joy to watch even if Unc john chasers her with a camera. LOL
Anyhow i have a play with them. Comments welcome.

Nice shots, and great model: this little girl has such big eyes! I really like the 'soft' on the second one and that's my favourite... Did you use PP to get this effect?

Hi Link, yes i used PS and i have a digital film effects plugin and well thought i would try a couple of them out and yes i like the way they came out.
Her eyes are very big, when she looks at you sometimes is like she is look right through you kind of strange,lol.

Is this a free plugin???

I use Virtual Photographer which produces nice results but interested in what you used here.

I love the third one... Was that a copper setting?

BBJ - I just adore pics of children - they show an innocence that we lose as we grow older. The eyes are stunning and the results you have obtained are a tribute to your growing skills

Hi Woody, i have virtphotog as well i got these sometime ago playing with my Fuji.
55mm is the definitive set of digital optical filters meant to simulate popular glass camera filters, specialized lenses, optical lab processes, film grain, matte generation, exacting color correction as well as natural light and photographic effects--all in a controlled digital environment with either 8 or 16 bits per channel processing.

I like the 3rd pic most of all...

Maybe it's just me, and it probably is, but the black and white with the object in singled out colour is getting just a tad old... could be that I've seen it too many times in the last week, though.

Thanks Leigh, u r right i guess we have been going a bit crazy on it. I got bored and well yeh had a play although not startling pictures but the last one was something different and i liked the look i have a few others i might try that way. Who knows LOL

Try leaving the hat the way it is and only slightyl desaturate the rest of the image. Might work.
