The most beautiful thing on earthI just love flowers - the colour, very often the scent and the beauty they can bring into our lives. I just loved the colour differential in this photo but I am open to critique

Wow, the colors in this are striking!
One question though, what's giving the effect down the right hand side? Is it something much closer than your subject that's out of focus? I'd also be tempted to clone out the odd couple of flowers encrouaching down towards the bottom left corner that take the eye away... Cheers, Mudder Aka Andrew
nice pic!
my big problem is that the green behind is distracting and takes away from the colours in the flowers...a different contrast in behnd would have been better... just my two cents
mudder - a tree on the right hand side and the flowers at bottom left have to go and I will tone down the green. Will post update later (after the Sunday movie)

Chris, I'm no flower lover or good at taking pics of them but i like the colours, very striking and well i like it, looks nice with that border as well.

No problem with colour here! (this from a bloke who gets his wife to pick the right tie )
If I could suggest a change it would be to move the main bud slightly lower towards the 1/3rd line. I agree with cloning the buds out, but didn't even notice the tree until it was mentioned. What I really like about this photo is the darkness just around the edge of the main bud. It acts as a 3d shadow and really gives extra depth to the picture. Very well done.
Don't change a thing. Okay, maybe the little things at the bottom left can go, but that's a very beautiful image AS IS! The green frame works wonderfully for you too! Nice choice.
VERY nice to look at. Rich, "plushy" colors.
