Slow Sync flash experiment.ok, so the subject and composition leaves a little to be desired but it's an experiment in slow sync flash and zoom motion. i think i got the effect done pretty well.
sb800 fired low top right. sb600 behind high left. C&C welcome. EM1 l 7.5 l 12-40 l 14 l 17 l 25 l 45 l 60 l 75 l AW1 l V3
I like this!
Tell me how you do it - please Steve
------------------------------------------------------- So many things to do - so little time.
put cam on tripod.
set flash to slow sync set slow shutter speed, i think it was around 0.5s ?? can;t remember now. zoom in and out after you depress your shutter. you can do the zoom thing for a similar effect without flash but i found doing it this way you get the bursts of light coming in between your subject which makes it look more dramatic and the thing you focussed on originally comes out pretty sharp. I love it when people experiment..nice colours in this exposure. I would like to see your efforts on this where you just zoom in or out, not both and a slower zoom, I think it could add that drawing in of the eye to the central flower. I find myself being drawn to the lower left because it is recognizable as the flower, so a bit more oof and I think it would be perfect. Keep us posted with the results and any other cool experimental shots you try - well done.

Interesting ... have you thought about setting 1 flash to rear curtain trigger and the other to front curtain trigger? (dont know if you can do this)
That should give interesting rresults as different parts of the image will get a flash at different part locations of the zoom movement. Nunquam requîrere a aptus occãsiõ ad claudere sûrsum
thanks for the feedback. V to clarify, do you mean that the sharp flower should not be sharp ? cos i got shitloads of them lol
Biggz...good idea about the different flash settings ! not sure if thats possible but i'll give it a go. EM1 l 7.5 l 12-40 l 14 l 17 l 25 l 45 l 60 l 75 l AW1 l V3
