EN-EL3 - Real deal?

Postby Pehpsi on Fri Nov 09, 2007 2:59 pm

Hey. I'm looking to buy another battery for my D70. I'd love to get another original like the one that came with my cam, because they're awesome and last for ages..

Original is:

EN-EL3, 7.4V, 1400mAh

<a href="http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Genuine-Nikon-EN-EL3a-EN-EL3-Battery-For-D100-D50-D70_W0QQitemZ180174563603QQihZ008QQcategoryZ27432QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem">Some like this</a> claim to be the real deal, but how can I be sure? This one states 1500mAh also?

They possibly got dropped along with the other odds & ends when the last big update was done.

Might need to ask Gary...... :D

This is NOT a genuine Nikon battery. It's a VERY good fake. I have exactly this battery from this seller. Nikon has an official web-page with detailed information how to identify fake battery. I don't have the link right now, but trust me - this is not a Nikon battery.

However... It's working fine. No complains yet.

I've just found the right link.

Imitation and non-Nikon rechargeable batteries
alternate URL

And another Imitation Nikon Accessories

Hope it helps. BTW, the EN-EL3a and EN-EL3e are 1500mAh, the EN-EL3 is 1400mAh.
