I recently sold all my Nikon gear and moved to Canon. But even though I've gone to the dark side, i couldn't do without my Nikkor 70-300mm zoom lens.
Forget lenses like the 28mm f1.4, Zeiss 50nn f1.4, 85mm f1.4 or 200mm f2, the 70-300mm is so sharp it will cut you just looking at the prints. The bokeh is so creamy, you can pour milk in one end and get butter out the other. The term 'lens lust' was coined after this lens was released.
I love this lens so much, I took it on holidays.

Andrew,
You should be ashamed of yourself. That lens is not wearing a filter!

I'd better go out and get one before i scratch the front element. I'm holding this lenses ransom. Mention 'expulsion' again and the 70-300mm gets it! lol Oz_Beachside wrote:that does look like a great all rounder

Andrew
One thing you failed to mention is that after all that mistreatment it still takes images as sharp as the day it came out of the box

I was told that these lenses are made of a special material that makes them bounce when dropped from a few metres.....
Can you please confirm/deny ???

Makes you worry when the seller of this kind of lens says "One owner and 4 actuations" or "Excellent for a wide variety of applications including: waterfalls, beach and still life fruit"
