NarcissismUCE mag gave us the theme Narcacism for a 4 page beauty editorial my stylist Angela and myself interpreted it as basically a girl washed up from shipwreck, contextual shipwreck clues around her letters, broken mirror, rope
before the final moments of death she is still obsessed with her beauty as a last action of vanity she picks up a mirror to check out her look instead of getting up and crying for help, hence narcissism we shot at Bondi beach at 5:30am and our model Gemma was a real tough cookie twas cold and annoying laying back on a rock for an hour dressed in nothing but a nightgown the following images are not in narative order, just the best looking ones this one has been photoshopped so it looks colder and more atmospheric rest here: http://www.zeduce.org/images/shoot/narcasism/narcasism.htm Concept/Styling: Angela Wozniak @ TID Model: Gemma @ Scene Hair & Makeup: Jodi Gardner @ http://www.jodigardner.com this is my last post for a while, i'm off to NYC Last edited by wendellt on Sun Aug 26, 2007 12:37 pm, edited 2 times in total.

Hi mate, love the theme and the interpretation.
Not sure whether you noticed, but in the third pic there's a fisherman. Might want to consider cloning him out if she's shipwrecked and by herself Hassy, Leica, Nikon, iPhone
Come follow the rabbit hole...
Brilliant, absolutely world first class!!!
A brilliant collection of images representing the theme for the Greek Mythological figure of Narcissus. You continue to demonstrate ever evolving inspiration work, thanks for sharing!
hi wayne
thanks bud the fisherman is intentional as her last act she checks herself in the mirror to amek sure she still looks beautuiful she even adds an earing in on the shots instead of calling out for help, excessive obsession of self beauty Wendell Levi Teodoro

They're great Wendell. Right from the concept to creation, they fit the theme perfectly. Something for me to aspire to.

Nice shots, and this type pf photography isn't really my forte` so take my C&C with a grain of salt.
With the first one, i know you have intently washed it out, I probably would have pulled the sky/cloud the other way and made that more dramatic while washing out the model/rock out. cheers, padey Andrew
Canon make photocopiers and stick lenses on them....
Beautiful imagesMy preference is for the one with the guy fishing. So as far as I am concerned, it simply has to go from the scene.
Except that Narcissus was a man so let's call her Narcissa instead.
Wendell, congratulations on a great set of shots. I always wonder how these concepts come to fruition. And whilst my photoshop skills are continually improving, I would love to know, and I'm sure other would also, the basics behind the image reflections and how they were put together.
Wowsers! 3rd shot is a ripper. So damn creative.
