What a beast it was! Pretty tough to swing around, but once i got the hang of it, i actually managed a few shots at 1/125th.

Biggups to my mate Peter Quinn, awesome surf photog for letting me handle the beast for 48 hours :)

I love everything about #1. Colours, pin sharp, composition, panning. Brilliant. I think the thing that really keeps bringing me back is that the rider really looks like he's staring down the barrel of the lens and planning riding straight down it!

Was the national round of the WA Superbikes. No, the lens wasn't mine, i had borrowed it off a mate in exchange for the 17-55 and a sb800 for the weekend... fair swap i reckon ;)

but i sure do wish it was mine!!

however i do have a new toy which should be just as good! :D

I lost out on one of theses lens on ebay when I stopped bidding at $4100. It went for $4500 :oops:

Top shelf right there mate. Very nice indeed. I'll go with the crowd in saying #1 is the winner. There is real emotion in that shot.
