Hi matty,

As I mentioned before it is a serious looking lens, but would be finished off if it was white.... :D (ducks for cover)....lol

Look forward to the results Matty.

Nice mate. Will have to find my little circlwork stickers...

Now, all you need is a man sized camera for it to be mounted on. Maybe a D3?

I'm trying to convince him :) Heck at only 4999.95 USD at the moment they are pretty good price wise considering I'll be over there in Feb ;)

Now to stay married at the same time :P

I do like the pics Matty specifically the first one.

Far out that looks like an awsum lens, you must just about need wheels on your camera bag to get that thing around

G'day

I had the opportunity to have a quick play with one of these back in June on the Nikon workshop organised by Camera Electronic. I thought it was a very impressive beast but sadly well outside my price range.

It weighs more than all the contents of my camera bag combined but the VR makes it usable as a hand hold as well. I don't have a steady hand particularly when holding that much weight but these two snaps were without a tripod/monopod. For the second one, the section of the freeway was about 2km way from where I was in Kings Park so I was expecting to see nothing but blur, however the full nef is sharp, any blurring seen here is just due to the quick and nasty jpg conversion.
