Bike Racing at South Bank
Today was the annual Brisbane South Bank criterium races. The criterium is a tactical team race where points are awarded at different times during the race. This means that there are periods of consolidation as well as times when the cyclists make breaks on the field.

Thanks for your honest assessment, folks. Now that I revisit this image, I agree with your comments.
My original intention was to darken the roadway. There is nothing like bitumen in the Queensland sunshine to make your photos a nightmare!
Anyway, I have re'shopped the image (because I think it has potential), and realising that my masking technique doesn't cut it, I have left that part out. I would now appreciate some further feedback.  TFF (Trevor)

the third one is the one with the most potential, I think. Your second version is better but there still seems to be some brush strokes around the arms, more prominent on the rider's left side. I agree with the above comments. It would seem that the brush you are using in photoshop needs to be hardened up a little to achieve a solid edge between the rider and the background. What techniques are you currently using to PP this image?
