Greg Smith's DVdreamtime/Quality Camera SalesHas anyone purchased from Greg Smith's DVdreamtime? If so, how were they?
Or can anyone recommend somewhere I can get the following? * Manfrotto 682B Monopod * Manfrotto 234RC Monopod Head with quick release Last edited by ATJ on Wed Dec 05, 2007 4:30 pm, edited 1 time in total.

I have bought from Greg Smith . I have found the service & customer service excellent
warren aka aussichef Nikon D50/D80 Nikon,MB-D80 70-200 2.8 VR,Sigma 18-50 2.8, Kenko 1.4x TC, 2 kit lenses ,Nikon 50mm f1.8 Nikon SB-600 Tamron 90mm 2.8 Canon 500D closeup lens
Fozzie, Yes, service was prompt. I ordered Monday night. Goods were shipped Tuesday afternoon and just arrived a few minutes ago (Wednesday 4:15pm AEST). Just one problem though. I ordered a monopod and a head. I only received the monopod. I'll have to see how quickly they resolve it. UPDATE: I was just told they were out of stock and they are shipping it now. I don't know why I wasn't told that at the time of shipping the first part. Last edited by ATJ on Wed Dec 05, 2007 4:36 pm, edited 1 time in total.
Manfrotto 681B with 234RC head. I was going to get the 682B which has retractable feet so it can stand on its own, but couldn't justify the extra $70.
How much did you pay for the head, if I may ask (including an allowance for shipping)?
Cheers Regards, Patrick

Patrick,
I guess technically the shipping of the head will be free - as it is meant to be winging its way to me on its own. Head was $48.70. Shipping on the whole lot was $20.
Thanks Andrew. That seems like an ok price, depending on how much they would charge for shipping the head on its own. Regards, Patrick

Patrick,
I got the price wrong. My invoice says $48.70, but the actual price was $53.57. (The invoice must show the pre-GST price.) I just went through the order process on the head alone and shipping would be $8.50 with Australian Air Express. So, total price would be $62.07.
Thanks Andrew
So many things to buy, so little justification. Regards, Patrick

I got the green light today to buy a D300.
Well, I got the green light to buy a D3... ... at some undisclosed time in the future. Regards, Patrick

OK, I finally received the head. Fozzie's recommendation was right on the money...
For the monopod that was in stock, the service was indeed prompt. For the out-of-stock head, it took longer to get here than the flash I ordered from Poon on the same day, and that includes me having to drive to the post office to get Poon's parcel, because the lazy Australia Post delivery contractor couldn't be bothered knocking on my door and just stuck a "Sorry we missed you card" in the letter box even though I was home the whole day.
