Got a thin skin? Then look elsewhere. Post a link to an image that you've made, and invite others to offer their critiques. Honesty is encouraged, but please be positive in your constructive criticism. Flaming and just plain nastiness will not be tolerated. Please note that this is not an area for you to showcase your images, nor is this a place for you to show-off where you have been. This is an area for you to post images so that you may share with us a technique that you have mastered, or are trying to master. Typically, no more than about four images should be posted in any one post or thread, and the maximum size of any side of any image should not exceed 950 px.

Forum rules
Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent.

Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.

Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread.

Please also ensure that you have a meaningful location included in your profile. Please refer to the FAQ for details of what "meaningful" is.

Ahoy folks.

Well following on from my fellow CW compatriot, I thought I'd post a few of my favourite motorsport images from 2007. It was a good year, with a few major events attended, a few contacts made and CAMS accreditation obtained.

I also met a few more of you folk, so that was also a bonus to say the least. I think the highlight photography wise was flying to Melbourne with Jeff for the Sandown 500, which was great fun, and a good experience also.

From 2008 I hope to achieve a few more goals. I am hoping to cover more rounds of the V8 supercars, namely the inaugral Phillip Island Enduro and Indy. I also hope to cover the A1GP, with my planning already coming along nicely. I also hope to upgrade at least one D2h to a D2x(s). My glass, thankfully I am happy with, and hope to purchase 1 more SB600 to add to my creative lighting fun.

So, without much further ado, here are my favourite images from 2007 motorsports events.

Image

Aussie Race Cars late in the afternoon on Mt Panorama.

Image

Subaru Factory Team in the opening laps of the Bathurst 12 Hour Race. It was still pretty dark!

Image

Pit team member from the Holden Racing Team. I walked up and down the pits for ages trying to find this shot. It came out better than I thought, so was pretty happy with it.

My motorsport galleries are here if you wish to have a looksee.

Thanks to all for your feedback, support, criticism and friendship. Heres to a good 2008 for all of us.

Fantastic images Alan!

The three images you've presented here show different elements of motorsport. Not only are they fine motorsport images, but they give something to the general viewer as well.

keep it up, and keep sharing in 2008
