We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.
Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread.
Please also ensure that you have a meaningful location included in your profile. Please refer to the FAQ for details of what "meaningful" is.

It's been a while since I threw an image this way so here's two teasers.
I recently visited my home state of Tasmania for Christmas with the family and I took my Nikon F5 and some film with me. Also accompanying me on this visit was a 50 F1.4, a 28-70 F2.8 and a Sigma 12-24 as that is the only super wide angle I have for FX or 35mm cameras. I kept my travel to the Tasman Peninsula and Mt Field which I will post later when I get my Fuji Velvia transparencies back from developing. It takes 7 business days out here in the country.
I have provided Google Map links of the locations I shot from, as best as I could locate.

First image is of Pirates Bay. I had a lot of trouble with contrast on this one.

Hi Steve,
I like the South Arm image. Is that Betsy Island on the LHS?
I've been meaning to get down South Arm way. As you'd know there's many small beaches and bays down that way. Some nice subjects.
Looking forward to seeing the Mt Field shots as well.

I like the composition of the first image,
but somehow the colour of the water doesn't look quite right.
The second picture is lovely with great perspective that adds a sense of depth to the image.
I do love Tasmania, so please give us more to look at.  Nikon D700 D300

John, yes that is Betsy island. The 12mm wide angle has 122 degrees of view (I think) so it's surprising just how much is viewable in the viewfinder  Gotta love 35mm.
Bluebell, it was an overcast day and there was a large amount of haze so the colour of the water does look that way now as I enhanced the blue sky and adjusted the contrast of the hills over the bay. That is actually the true colour of the water due to the cloud cover.
