Love the skin tone in #1!! What are the PP steps to get it to look like that? (if you don't mind sharing)

Nice work Matt.
The only thing that is distracting (apart from Kassie) is that the ball is flat. In shot one she is sinking into it.

cawdor, no real PP techniques applied.

make sure to get the WB and exposure right first. I also try to avoid doing too much with contrast/curves on the skin to avoid any color shifts.... but thats me, and im certainly no expert on the matter

First it was a dirty surfboard, now a flat soccer ball :!: :!: :!:

Matty,

I like these ones, a lot :D

What lighting did you use? Do you have an environmental shot (ie: wide angle showing where the lights were postioned etc...?)

Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaate!

These are good, really good. The lighting is spot on. The first two are my picks. I like the poses and the look on Kassies face. I do like the last one also, but favour the othetr two.

Nice!

She needs to work on her facial expressions IMO.. :)

Most of the photos we've seen of her she has a similar expression.

Number 2 here she has a perfect smile, perhaps she needs more of that

kyle.... how can the logo possible be distracting?!

okay no wide angle setup pics this time... as i shot it with the 70-200.

lighting was big softbox camera left (slight) and an sb800 on a tripod to the back and camera right providing rim lighting for seperation. Sun sometimes provided the golden camera left rim.

I turned it off for the lying down shots. Not sure why tho... maybe i should have left it on.

Just looked at these again and I do find the goal posts in the background in number 1 and 3 distracting.

I know the theme is soccer but I am not sure the posts add to the image, especially in number 3 where it is cutting through Kassie's head.

Maybe if you positioned the goal posts in the background so they framed her? For my benefit I would be interested in what you think about this.

Hope this helps.

W00DY, anyone would think your a canon shooter the way your talking :P

all jokes aside... ive thought about what you said, and looked at the pics and the goal posts don't really bother me at all.

I shot the pics with her really far away from the posts, as there wasn't any nets up, other wise i'd look silly.

i think i am happy just to include them in the picture... im not sure, i'll wait to hear what others say about the topic

Ohhh, you shoot Nikon....

Mate, these are the best photos I have ever seen, must be the camera you use

Seriously, If I was half as good as what you are doing I would be stoked... I don't comment on the technical side of things because you have that down pat.

Was also the first thing I noticed.

Good pics, but I'm clearly with #2 for a variety of reasons - her expression, and the lack of posts through the head. Somewhat strange pose in #3, as well.
