Pa,

I'm not sure what you mean. Do you mean software that will let you add text to your images like "© 2008 Pa"? Or do you mean one of those hidden digital watermarks that allows you to track your images?

just use photoshop or something similar?

that watermark is horrible though. there is a happy medium between protecting your interests and ruining a good photo with obtrusive 'watermarking'.

Pa,

What software do you use for post processing? Most apps allow you to add text to your pictures.

I use PaintShopPro 9. What I now do for mine is to create a new vector layer which has an opacity of 30% and the put the text on that. When I merge them, I get a much more subtle watermark. e.g.

In theory, you could even put text like that across the middle without detracting too much from the image.

I use the Watermark Pictures Protector for quick and easy watermarking if I have many images (often 3,000-4,000 at a time)
Quick and Easy to use and allows some creativity (adding borders etc)

Otherwise I use Photoshop or Paintshop Pro for the Hires images or when I need a complex watermark...
