So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent. Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature. Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. ContemplationWent to the beach after work yesterday and saw this young lady looking out to see. I wondered what she was thinking?
Not sure which version I prefer the 'cool' desaturated or the B&W. Fuji X-Pro1 | X-E1 | X-T1 | XF14 | XF23 | XF27 | XF35 | XF56 | XF60 | XF10-24 | XF18-55 | XF55-200 | MCEX-11

Re: Contemplation......... B&W for me....... but have you tried more contrast, and darken down the water to give more of a storm feel to the shot, just a thought
Cheers ....bp....
Difference between a good street photographer and a great street photographer.... Removing objects that do not belong... happy for the comments, but .....Please DO NOT edit my image..... http://bigpix.smugmug.com Forever changing
Re: ContemplationAt the moment I prefer the cross-processed looking shot, mainly because there is more contrast in the waves. Definitely a shot that will work very well with B&W, but the treatment just isn't as strong for me compared to the first.
Is she sad or just contemplating? http://www.markcrossphotography.com - A camera, glass, and some light.

Re: ContemplationHiya Geoff.
B&W for me. I find after switching between the two a couple of times, the blue cast/desat treatment makes her look too unnatural. Simon

I agree with Big Pix about the stormy look. Good subject. Regards Colin Regards Colin
Cameras, lenses and a lust for life
Re: Contemplationof the 2 b/w but I'd be inclined to darken it a bit and square crop it
Re: ContemplationDoes the mono have a touch of blue about it or is it just the surround of the post?
I'd also get a bit more aggressive on the conversion, and I'd probably lop a bit of the top of the image off as well. (Maybe just crop it al a bit tighter. Dunno.) cheers, juice
