I never knewthat water snails were so pretty LOL _ spent the afternoon laying flat on my stomach in the front yard in front of the fish pond - God knows what the neighbours think this time LOL .. didn't know we had 2 different species either (didn't realise there was so much crap in the water either LOL _ next time, I'll take them out and put them in a small tank)

Re: I never knewRel
You have stumbled onto a subject that needs further refinement for a brilliant series! The colours and shapes are amazing. Clean up the water....get some on sheets of glass....do a series for a magazine and or an exhibtion as they fascinate! Large framed prints would be stunning. Regards

Re: I never knewThe second last one for me, the star shaped tail (?) has me amazed.
How long can they stay under water for Rel? http://www.markcrossphotography.com - A camera, glass, and some light.

Re: I never knewThanks
Geoff - the colours in the second one are pretty cool huh? The weird thing is these guys actually move pretty quickly - well for a snail anyway Matt - I will have to do some more, even if it's only to get some clear shots without all the crap in the water I doubt anyone else would be interested in the shots though - just for me Mark - I have no idea about water snail biology - I'll ask the snail expert at work tomorrow and find out about them, a name would be good too LOL Bernie - really really small snack !!! The last thing I want to do is hurt you... but it's still on the list...
