DSLRUsers and ProxiesGary,
Last night I was informed that I should not be able to browse these forums through a proxy. After searching the forums I need to ask if the policy of restricting proxies is still in place? At the moment I am logged in through a php proxy that has been placed on the ISPs ftp web space (to bypass NetEnforcer). As far as I can determine my IP should be appearing as xxx.xxx.0.13 which is the ftp server. I would have placed this question in an earlier thread but it seems that no reply is possible. Regards Andrew
Re: DSLRUsers and ProxiesAndrew,
Thanx for asking, and no, it's not. The new version of phpbb doesn't yet (to my knowledge) have a mod for this, and being a much newer product with far better (allegedly) security, probably doesn't have a need for it. So ... the code that implemented that policy is no longer in place, and I should also delete the proxy group. Cheers. g.
