DSLRUsers and Proxies

Postby AndyL on Thu Jan 31, 2008 10:49 am

Gary,

Last night I was informed that I should not be able to browse these forums through a proxy. After searching the forums I need to ask if the policy of restricting proxies is still in place?

At the moment I am logged in through a php proxy that has been placed on the ISPs ftp web space (to bypass NetEnforcer). As far as I can determine my IP should be appearing as xxx.xxx.0.13 which is the ftp server.

I would have placed this question in an earlier thread but it seems that no reply is possible.

Regards

Thanx for asking, and no, it's not.

The new version of phpbb doesn't yet (to my knowledge) have a mod for this, and being a much newer product with far better (allegedly) security, probably doesn't have a need for it.

So ... the code that implemented that policy is no longer in place, and I should also delete the proxy group.

Cheers.
