My SB800 has arrived :D (Thank you Poon/ Gary)
These are my first attempts at pics with it - Isaac was a willing model and even started to pose.

Thanks Shane, I agree about #2, I was struggling a bit with the manual focus (is a tad dark in the tank without the flash lighting it up) and he kept moving - if I could combine #1 and #2 he would be completely in focus! It is something I am aiming for :)

Here's my opinions:
1st pic seems a tad dark on the top side though.....
3rd also seems a tad over-exposed near its lips.....

Did you use the flash straight on? Then again it's against the glass....hmmmmm

On a much lighter note, did you just come back from other planet (ie Mars)? LoL
Interesting subject you have there.....

Enjoy the new toy.......remember what wayne said....LoL

I take it that the orangy thingy is the fish and the weird looking alien is the toy

I like these - you have done well under the circumstances

Elena, Good work with the SB800 under tricky conditions. I really like the first one in particular.

Isaac looks like a very friendly weird creature.

Thanks for the comments everyone, I think I am going to have a lot of fun with this flash. BTW, Isaac is an axolotl (more commonly known as a Mexican walking fish) which are often thought of as being so ugly that they are cute :)
I've had him for about a year and I reckon he has great personality!
