I think this was posted (not the exact link) in another discussion here before...

But yeah, it's been ages since Nikon developed PC/TS lenses. I think it's because they did too much focus on DX sensors and these lenses won't work that well on a cropped size body. But now the D3 is born, so will these little PC/TS babies... :D

I have to say I am rather looking forward to getting my hands on and maybe even buying this lens. I used to have one of Nikon's previous PC lenses, the 35mm PC but as many of you will know, that lens was only useful for correcting perspective. What this new lens offers though is a lot more, particularly for anyone keen on controlling the plane of focus within images that require foreground and background detail. This lens is going to be the best toy Nikon have produced in a while. My only regret is that they did not include a faster lens in their new line-up.
