Outdoor Shooting using SB800'sHappy New Year
Since the New Year we have completed 5 outdoor shoots using the SB800's. I guess our quest to perfect this technique has been inspired by Wendell's work. You can see them at http://www.hudcomm.smugmug.com/gallery/4176895#250067955 We also filmed our last shoot on Friday and you can view at the following link. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zLBZyzTelBg Hoping for a great year for all. Re: Outdoor Shooting using SB800'sNice work Hudo, the youtube video is a great insight for people that don't do much outdoor photography with brolly's setup etc...

Re: Outdoor Shooting using SB800'sThanks Geoff. Some times it's the cost of not being able to afford another set of outdoor large battery powered lights when you have $5K tied up in indoor lighting or not wanting to run extension leads and carry larger stands, lights and soft boxes outdoors. Not to mention the wind picks up and a $2K light falls over. The SB800's offer an alternative with some limitations as we are not using PW's. Most of the flash shots we use the D200. They are light, versitile and easily used. While we have been spoilt having the camera bodies and glass we do I have been challenged the past few months to push what we have rather than chase new equipment.
This weekend is looking great weather wise and we have one of the Ralph girls to shoot Sat along with another model and Sunday we have 8~10 models going head to head with a make up artist so we plan to produce something out of this weekends work as well.
