Waiting 133 hours (so far ...)

Postby BullcreekBob on Mon Feb 04, 2008 6:07 pm

Help !!

Over 133 hours since I ordered *my* D300 and it still hasn't got a shipping number or anything like that. What can I do now to help pass the time? Where do I find patience?

I've downloaded and read the whole D300 manual. I've decided what camera settings I will use, I've given thought to the composition of the first image I'm going to take, I've got charged batteries ready to go, there's petrol in the car, Gillian knows I'm not available for *tasks*, even the dog is picking up my anxiety.

What did some of you folks do to make the waiting easier?
Would it help if I got a job?
Do I need medication?
Should I go hire one for a day or two?
Should I turn to a life of crime?

Help !! (again)

I'm glad I'll never have to go through pregnancy - I just couldn't wait *that* long.

Nope. (as at 189 hrs)

That nice man Mr Stark tells me I can't ask till 241 hours have elapsed. I think I'll be blue in the face by then.

Not just you. Everyone!

First of all, it's in the FAQ.

Second, I have a life too, and it is important that members here respect this fact. The idea of the facility that we provide here is a no frills ordering facility that simply accepts your order and forwards it to HKG.

Please understand that I have no input whatsoever into when it's going to be processed by Poon's staff. Hassling me, and/or having me hassle them, is not productive. Most orders are shipped within that ten day period, and it clearly states in the FAQ that if you have issues with the methodologies employed, you may be better off purchasing elsewhere.

Where orders look as if they are going to stretch beyond that ten day period, we usually know before the expiry of that period and people are told at the earliest possible time of whatever issues are being encountered. Where there is nothing to say, what can be more appropriate to say that nothing?

And where this period does get exceeded, please do me the respect of understanding that I do follow these things up and communicate with the purchaser so that they are kept informed.

I'm sorry, but I fail to the point of this thread.

Locked!
