Green Aliens in a tentThe frogs are out since the rain and I found a great excuse to try out the studio lighting kit which I acquired after the last challenge.
C&C please PS I think it is a Graceful Treefrog - a little older than Rels Steve

Re: Green Aliens in a tentSteve,
Great work. Beautiful, soft lighting. Not bad for a first attempt with the new kit, and an especially unusual subject for that style of kit. Well done. g.

Re: Green Aliens in a tentQuick run down on what was used and the specs of the shot mate? They are some wonderful pics.
How do you make it happen? Sounds silly i know but like how do you know where the frogs will be and when etc? D300 - MB-D10 - Nikkor 80-200mm f/2.8 - Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8 - Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 - SB600

Re: Green Aliens in a tent
The shots were all taken with a D300, Tamron 90 and a 32mm extention tube - luv them all. I put Gracy on a leaf in a light tent and used 2 studio stobes with soft boxes to provide the lighting. My youngest daugther is frog mad and generally finds them for me but you can hear them from 100m away - once the sun goes down just listen. On second thoughts at Bondi who knows what you would hear Steve

Re: Green Aliens in a tentWow these are fab Steve.... the lighting is spot on and the colours are great... the second one is my pick for the same reason that Rel stated.. *nods*..
The last thing I want to do is hurt you... but it's still on the list...
Re: Green Aliens in a tentSteve,
All three shots are excellent and the soft boxes and light tent has worked brilliantly. You must be chuffed.
Re: Green Aliens in a tentVery nice Steve I really like these.

Re: Green Aliens in a tentbeing that green is my favourite colour... these are awesome!
Re: Green Aliens in a tentAll three are great, but it is the first and last that make me do the double take.
Cheers
Re: Green Aliens in a tentGreat shots Steve. Love all three of them.
Is the lighting kit the one that can be purchased from Poon. I have been thinking of getting one and would like to hear your impressions of it, the results certainly look great. Thanks Craig
