Forum rules
Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent.

Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.

Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread.

There has been mention on this forum of the nik color efex pro 2 filter set. The attached photo shows the original in the top left hand corner plus the five infra red effects available with this filter set. I have used the preset controls for each effect and no further PP.

Chris

I've had this software under "evaluation" for quite a while using the PS version. I found I was using it so much that I just ordered the new version (select edition with 45 filters) that works inside Nikon Capture.

Easy to use, and quite powerful. I think your samples show this quite well.

Edit:
To see the list of the filters in each version go here
The NC version is only available from the US via either Nikon Mall or Adorama. This version is cheaper than the PS version, but lacks the ability to paint on the filter.

Full details on the package are here

Peter - I find the graduated and polarizer filters to be extremely handy plus there are some really far out effects as well.

I have also been using the Andromeda perspective filter for my work - just had to put a logo on a photo and got it right with this filter as PS edit features just could not get it right.

Chris

I've not looked at the Andromeda filters. From their web site there seem to be quite a few. I'll check them out.

Cheers
Peter
