Re: Petrol Pump PrisonTrevor, what an interesting shot, especially with the fisheye. With a touch of PP I could see that mounted on a wall. Well spotted

Re: Petrol Pump Prison
Thanks, Glen. But don't be shy - what PP would improve it? I fiddled with contrast a bit after doing the conversion using a gradient map. I would be interested in any suggestions. TFF (Trevor)

Re: Petrol Pump PrisonI am a PP klutz but I can picture this with more contrast, so the whites are white and the greys will be darker (sounds like Omo ). Your vision may be different, but I can see this as a modern art style of image

Re: Petrol Pump PrisonThis is just a different take on it with 30 seconds work. I bumped up the contrast but it darkened it too much so went to the LCH screen in Capture NX, lightened the white and darkened the black. This has lost some of your great sky though. On the positive it makes the pumps more the focal point and less on the road in the foreground. This would be the start but I really like this image, especially the depth in the rows which isn't as immediately apparent as the breadth. http://wolfeyes.com.au Tactical Torches - Tactical Flashlights Police torch rechargeable torch military torch police military HID surefire flashlight LED torch tactical torch rechargeable wolf eyes flashlight surefire torch wolf eyes tactical torchpolice torch

Re: Petrol Pump Prison
Trevor, you could post it under "PP my Image", I'd be interested in giving it a whirl) given a larger copy to work with. The image is very appealing to me. Cheers Steffen. lust for comfort suffocates the soul
Re: Petrol Pump PrisonMore contrast and grit to the image would help accentuate the prison atmosphere you are going for. Interesting view with the FE.

Re: Petrol Pump Prison
It's in Longlands Street at Newstead. Across the road is the old gasometer, on the site that is about to be redeveloped as Newstead Riverside. TFF (Trevor)

Re: Petrol Pump PrisonThat is a really cool image, would have been ordinary had you not used the fisheye, well done.

Re: Petrol Pump PrisonEven though its a common object for most of us, you have photographed it in a way we have most likely never seen. I like it a lot.
