Help with a printing issue.

Postby Oneputt on Fri Feb 15, 2008 4:28 pm

OK yesterday I went to print out an abstract image which has two colours, black and a couple of shades of red. The printer told me that I was out of Red Black and Yellow ink so I replaced the cartridges with new ones. Bear in mind that I have printed this out before without an issue.

After replacing the cartridges I printed out the image which came out in black and a several shades of green with a tiny bit of what is almost pink thrown in for good measure. Thinking the jets might have been dirty I gave them a clean and a test print came out as it should. Try to print the image again, but the same result. What the hell is going on?

The printer is a Canon i9950 with eight ink cartridges.

John
You have most likely done all of this.
Did you double check that the correct cartridges went in the correct holes?
Maybe the cartridges are incorrectly labelled.
Also does the soft proof look ok. Have you changed paper and not the printer profile?

All I can think of off the top of my head. Not that I am an expert at printing.

cartridges are all in correct spaces and correctly labelled. Print preview looks fine, Maybe I need to do a deep clean.

Get the scrubbing brush out. :) As Shane suggested, are other prints coming out OK?
