High Court at SunsetHowdy all, joined recently and thought I should start posting some shots. I was a bit late to get the awesome sunset colours but didn't mind this one.
D70, 70-200, ISO800, jpeg, f11 for about 5-10 seonds (??). No PS/PP. Comments always appreciated. cheers, adam He who knows how to laugh at himself will never cease to be amused...
Adam - this pic has a certain ethereal quality to it that I like. Soft pastel colours compliment the sombre look of the building

The colours are amazing, the subject interesting and exposed well so as not to allow the lights in the foregound to burn too brightly.
Well done. Steve.

Very nice photo !
We got rained and hailed upon when we tried a night shoot. BTW there is a nest with white-faced herons in front of the court. It is up in a gum tree on the left hand side above the water feature. Two chicks were in there 10 days ago. http://www.pixspot.com/displayimage.php?album=240&pos=0 Cheers CD

You got a dust bunnie top slightly left. Might have to do a CCd cleaning workshop with some of the Canberra guys. I'd be curious to know if a printer could hold those sky colours? Regards
Matt. K
Hey all, thanks for the replies. Sorry i'm slack in my reply! Had blissfull weekend without touching a computer!
Glen - i think i went ISO 800 because taht was the minimum ISO the camera would meter in. It was an awesome burning sky type sunset but i was late to get down to the lake. I chucked it on the tripod and set up a quick shot so i'd go home with something at least.! Then i set it back to 200 and played around with really long exposures using the histogram as a guide. KillaK - burnt out buildings are one of my favourite screw ups. Most of the rest of my shots that night suffered from it a bit. Annoying stuff!! sirhcc, christiand - cheers guys! I do want to go back down and get some more next time there's a good sunset. Stuff around the lake is so photogenic it makes life easier on me! Matt - oops, never noticed that before, now I can't stop looking at it! PS time methinks! I usually shoot wide open so that may hide it. CCD cleaning meeting sounds like a top plan. I do use the camera in a lot of dusty places... As for the printer, dunno. Might run down to Teds for a $2 8x12 and check it out!! adam He who knows how to laugh at himself will never cease to be amused...
