Along the jettySpent a very pleasant weekend down the south coast of NSW at a beautiful spot not far from Vincentia...
Here's one I liked...comments welcomed: Geoff
Special Moments Photography Nikon D700, 50mm 1.4, 85mm 1.4, 70-200 2.8VR, SB800 & some simple studio stuff.
Re: Along the jettyI like it.... but I think .... no I know I would like it more if you cropped the top of the shot down to the waterline.. in a pano format..
The last thing I want to do is hurt you... but it's still on the list...
Re: Along the jettyI agree with Bindii a pano crop may help this image, but overall I find it a little bland, there seems to be something lacking, the oomph factor (of the stubbsy wow factor), if you know what I mean.
Re: Along the jettyI agree with Bindi and Alpha...
something missing... splash of colour, directional light, point of interest, human element ...not sure what it is.. BTW the jetty in your avatar is top notch!!!
Re: Along the jettyThanks for the comments people - appreciate the feedback!

Re: Along the jettyI agree with some of the comments about it lacking something- maybe you could accentuate this feeling of emptiness or isolation with a degree of desaturation and cropping some of the sky??

Re: Along the jettyGreat image, Geoff. I like the tones and reflections!

Re: Along the jettyI think the horizon is a little too dead centre making the image a little boring. Perhaps some burning might bring out the colours a little more. That's my 2c.
