PotW 19.02.2008 Year of the Rat

Postby Glen on Tue Feb 19, 2008 10:14 pm

This weeks Picture of the Week is a portrait by Craig (Alpha 7) taken while he was in Egypt of his guide Mohamed. As you can see a startling shot, partly due to the surprising blue eyes but also to the delicate treatment given this shot by Craig. A great image for our first after the Chinese New Year break.

I was suspicious this would make POTW for this week. Well done Craig. Great choice Glen!

Great shot and fantastic choice. As Glen said, the subtle processing of the image really adds to it. Top stuff, Craig.

Great shot and well done on the subtle PP.

I immediately thought POW when I saw it, a real standout.

Thank you Glen and everyone that has commented, I don't think I can take too much credit for the shot, it just presented itself and I pressed the button. But I do appreciate my second POTW, (seems like I need to go overseas each time to get one :) ).
Shame I don't have any contact details for Mohamed, I'm sure he'd get a kick out of being a celebrity on here :)

Congrats Craig! Great photo and well picked!

Doesn't matter whether or not the shot was planned, what's important is that you seized that opportunity when it presented itself.
