Macro for scanner Take 2

Following from my previous attempt I decided to try a coupe of things.

This was the setup for the first image

The second image was taken without the paper dome.

Very minimal PP, just levels and got rid of some dust on the glass.
Any Thoughts?

very nice idea mate... but why?

I guess for the same reason Hillary climbed Mount Everest.... because it was there!

For my next trick I'll probably stick an A4 of a landscape on the inside of the scanner's lid and put an insect on the glass... try getting that sort of DOF from a camera.
