Photos of sonHi,
Just thought I would post a copule of recent shots of my sons. I'm interested in peoples thoughts. C&C greatly appreciated. Thanks Andrew D700 / 14-24mm f2.8/ 24-70mm f2.8/ 85mm f1.4/ 70-200mm f2.8 / 105mm macro f 2.8 / SB900
Re: Photos of sonAndrew
#1 - I like this shot for the look on your sons face. It’s not often that you can get a pensive shot from a kid. The only thing I would do is crop down from the top to remove some dead space. #2 - The DOF is too shallow and focus should be on the eyes. But, another lovely pose. Chris

Re: Photos of sonAndrew, I love 1 and agree with Chris (but wouldn't have noticed if Chris keen eye hadn't pointed it out). 2 is also appealling

Re: Photos of songreat B&W conversion, how did you do it?
Re: Photos of sonAndrew - I too agree with Chris, the first image with a crop will be fantastic.
I like #2 as well, and again Chris is spot on! Out of curiosity what aperture was this shot at? Geoff

Re: Photos of sonThanks everyone for the feedback.. It is greatly appreciated.
I took the original RAW shot, desaturated the image then played around with the levels. The aperture for the shot was f2.8 D700 / 14-24mm f2.8/ 24-70mm f2.8/ 85mm f1.4/ 70-200mm f2.8 / 105mm macro f 2.8 / SB900

Re: Photos of son1st shot is really impressive, if you crop off the space on top of his head.
2nd shot captures the moment really well. A bit too shallow DOF. Am I repeating whatever sirhc55 said? Really nice B/W process though!
